On Behalf of the Religious Education Staff & Volunteers, Welcome!

The parish’s role in evangelization and catechizing (teaching) is of the utmost importance.  Parents are the “first school of [the] Christian life (Lumen Gentium, 11),” and it is at home where children learn how to love, work, forgive, pray, and live a life of self-sacrifice, centered on Christ (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1657).  The Religious Education Office is here to support and encourage children (1st – 8th grades) in their lifelong encounter and pursuit of God, and it is our goal to provide the necessary resources to assist families in their collective growth in their Catholic faith.

Rooted in Scripture and Tradition, catechetical instruction and formation are provided to baptized children who are preparing to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist.  Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) instruction is also provided to those children who are not baptized and prepares them for the reception of the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist), celebrated at the Easter Vigil.
